Here at Starcoders we’re looking for 1 talented Frontend developer and 1 experienced Java developer with some PHP knowledge to join our amazing team.
Starcoders is an international software development company with offices in Ghent and Sofia, as well as a distributed team all around Europe. We create beautifully simple software for our clients, with a special focus on social networks and dating platforms.
In Starcoders we keep the processes and management structure to an absolute minimum so that you can do more of what you love - building great user interfaces. Our product was built as an API-first SaaS platform on Amazon Web Services, so you should also be very familiar with consuming a RESTful API on the frontend.
What Does a Strong Candidate look like?
Frontend:
- you have 2+ years experience as a Frontend Developer
- mastery of CSS, responsive design and HTML
- expertise with Javascript, Angular (1.x) and jQuery
- familiarity with CSS precompilers - SASS preferred
- know your way around GIT
- PHP Yii experience (bonus skill)
- fluent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory)
- great attitude - happy to contribute to the team: motivated to work alone
- basic knowledge of Photoshop
- experience working in a Scrum environment
Java(+basic PHP):
- you have at least 4 years experience as a Java Developer, and also strong knowledge of PHP is required
- experience working in a Scrum environment
- fluent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory)
- great attitude - happy to contribute to the team: motivated to work alone
- know your way around GIT
