Unhappy with a high tax burden, Serbia's freelancers take to the streets

When he attempted to pay taxes again in 2017, he was told that he is “not on the list of tax subjects” and that there is “no tax obligation”.

Despite all this, Mr Ilić has now been ordered pay six million Serbian dinars (around 51,000 euros) in tax and interest for the last four years of income (which totaled eight million dinars; around 68,000 euros).
