Proaspat revenit de la iceefest.

  • Networking cu oameni de calitate
  • Tehnologii noi, dar stiute din surse de afara
  • Speakeri ok, dar nicio prezentare cu ceva nou.

Din perspectiva E-Commerce, iarasi, evenimentul este pentru cei la inceput de drum. Adica, era o gramada de domnisoare care nota ce inseamna A/B testing, iar cand s-a adus in discutie “exit intent pop-up” au vrut sa termine pasta din pixuri.

Este posibil sa fiu ignorant, insa tu vii cu astfel de prezentari cand unii comercianti de la noi folosesc deja machine learning si au “data scientisti”?

Ca sa nu mai zic de aia din afara. Amazonul a patentat deja un sistem de vanzare anticipata.

Overall, este un eveniment mai mult pentru startups. Daca nu esti startup te vei trezi cu o investitie fara randament.

Iar cand ai adus in discutie exit-intent-popup, mi-am adus aminte de primul comentariu de-aici:

Good god, NO. Reaching for the X is not a “moment of indecision” – it’s the exact opposite. “Exit intent” overlays are just another in a long list of ways for websites to be annoying as fuck by thwarting users.

Half the time these pop-ups appear when I’m simply trying to scroll down the page to read the rest of your content. You know what I do then? I leave immediately in favor of a different site with similar offerings that doesn’t pull this kind of crap.
